Footnote:
The following watercourses were on 1 April 2006 classified by Defra as Critical Ordinary Watercourses (COWS) and responsibility for maintenance was transferred to the Environment Agency from that date:
- 24 Delfin (Wholsea)
- 57 Mill Beck (South Cave)
- 85 Weighton Beck
These watercourses form connecting lengths between actual critical watercourses situated in upland townships and downstream main river. The Environment Agency is now responsible for the entire length from the point of criticality through to estuary outfall.
Other lengths of main river managed by the Environment Agency within the drainage district are:
- Market Weighton Canal
- River Foulness
- Sands Drain
